The Centre for Asia-Pacific Initiatives (CAPI) was established in 1987 as an important element of the University of Victoria's plan to expand and strengthen its links with universities and other institutions in the Asia-Pacific region, especially with China, Japan, Southeast Asia, Korea, and the island states of Oceania. In this podcast, CAPI intern Leah Staples is interviewed on CFUV, the University of Victoria radio station. In the interview, Leah reflects on her placement with Isis International in Quezon City, Philippines. Leah was involved with hosting a three-week Isis Activist School that brought 24 women from 11 different countries together to discuss gender based violence in their countries and communities.
